Sophisticated shimmer for the holidays. Silver turtleneck by Ralph Lauren, photographed by Mario Testino for Harper's Bazaar, 1995.
Artist/designer Aylin Langreuter and her husband, designer Christophe de la Fontaine and their two children recently traded their 1930s modernist apartment in Milan to move to a very small, very old castle at the foot of the Bavarian Forest. Dating from 1336, it was in surprisingly good condition — and the price is what they would have paid for a three bedroom apartment in Munich. But what they both fell hard for was the fairy tale atmosphere of their new home, which is now a wonderful mix of old and new. More here at Architektur and Wohnen.
